Automatically recover the system
You can automatically recover the network settings by pressing and holding the reset button on the side for 6 seconds. The gateway will reboot and come back online using DHCP from your modem. This is the simplest way to recover your gateways network settings.
Manually recover the system
It is possible to manually connect to your Nero gateway via the factory IP address to recover the network settings and make any other changes required via the local web interface.
When connected directly to a computer the Nero Controller will try and get an internet connection via your computer, but you may not be able to access it via the My Nero portal until it is plugged back into your home network.
Connect to your Nero
- Follow the steps for finding out and connecting to the factory IP of your Nero Controller.
- Load the user interface of your Nero Controller and go to Settings and then Net & WiFi.
- Click on Reset to Default Network Settings.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
- Your controller will reboot and then come back up on the default configuration of DHCP on Ethernet and the WiFi AP details as shown on the label on the bottom of the gateway. This may take up to a few minutes.
Not sure what IP your gateway has now that it is reset? Connect to it via the My Nero portal and you will be able to find out the new address.
