Nero OS is the user interface (UI) that you use to configure and control your Nero system. It is the "front end" of the system, the part that you see and interact with.
Nero is an extraordinarily powerful, yet easy to use, system for controlling your home or small business. The Nero dashboard presents convenient ways to quickly check-in and control many things in your home at once, such as turning off all lights or locking all doors.
Status Bar
The status bar will display at the top of the dashboard when your Nero is in the process of doing something or if a device is being configured. In the example below, the Nero Controller is in sync mode and is waiting to "pair" with a new device.
Notification Bar
The notification bar will show the most recent events that happened in your system. You will get alerts here when devices are not responding. If you have configured any custom notifications, they will also appear in this list when they send. You can click on the Alerts tab to get more information about these messages.
Dashboard Cards
The Nero dashboard cards provide a quick overview of the current status of your entire system. After setup is complete, the left card will show the status of your devices, and the right card will show the status of your security sensors and if any of them have been tripped.
During the initial setup process, these cards will appear greyed out as there are not yet any devices added to the system.
Once you’ve paired your devices you’ll see the card colours changing to black or red. Black means that the status of your devices is OK, and red indicates something requiring your attention.
You can click on the arrow on either card to get more information about any issues shown.
My Modes
Nero has four standard house modes that can be used to change the state of devices when the mode changes and as a condition for scenes, ensuring they only run when your system is in the appropriate mode. Check out more about using and configuring House Modes.
My Shortcuts
Nero will automatically generate shortcuts for your lights and locks as you add them to the system. You can modify which devices are a part of the lights quick command if you have a custom setup.
My Favourites
If you have devices you want to access quickly you can select the star in the top right corner of the device widget to add it to the favourites section on your dashboard. You can add as many devices as you want to your favourites.
