Once this feature has been enabled you will not be able to access your Nero from the local IP address. You must first log in to My Nero via the app or website and then connect to your gateway.
If your site is not connected to the Internet do not enable this feature as you must be able to communicate with the Nero Cloud to connect to a secured gateway.
By securing the Nero Controller you will be required to enter the user credentials when you access the Nero Controller via its IP Address on the local network. By default, this is off.
- Click on Users & Account Info then Unit Settings
- Click on the tick box next to Secure your gateway and click Ok
