Resetting your gateway is not reversible. Ensure you take a backup if you want to recover your Z-wave network or gateway settings.
Your Nero gateway is able to be factory reset from the web interface or from the hardware button on board. It is also possible to reset only the Z-wave network, resetting the wireless interface without deleting your configuration or disconnecting the gateway from your My Nero account.
Factory reset - web interface
Remember to log in via https://mynero.environexus.com.au before triggering the reset via the web interface. If you are not logged in you will receive a permission denied error.
- Log in to your gateway via the web browser interface.
- Select Settings in the sidebar and then Backup.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Reset to default.
- Confirm by clicking Ok.
- Wait for the LEDs on the top of the gateway to be solid. This may take up to 15 minutes as the gateway will also perform a software update at the same time.
Factory reset - physical button
If you can't access the web interface or you no longer have access to the owning account you can trigger a factory reset from the physical button on the side of the gateway. We recommend that you perform this reset with the gateway plugged into a network with access to the internet so that it can download the latest firmware to reflash itself.
Factory reseting the gateway will delete all configuration, account connections to My Nero, and reset the Z-wave network. This process can not be reversed so please ensure you have a backup before proceeding if you want to restore your system.
- Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds.
- Wait for the LEDs on the top of the gateway to be solid. This may take up to 15 minutes as the gateway will also perform a software update at the same time.
Z-wave reset
If you only want to reset your Z-wave network but retain the gateway settings and My Nero account links, you can perform a Z-wave reset.
Resetting your Z-wave network will only reset your gateway radio. Your devices paired to the network will not be reset, you will need to reset each of these devices if you want to pair them back to the gateway or another gateway.
- Log in to your gateway via the web browser interface.
- Select Settings in the sidebar and then Z-wave Settings.
- Click on the Advanced tab on the page that appears.
- Click Go beside the option Reset Z-wave network.
- Confirm by clicking Ok.
