Nero Multi

The Nero Multi is a multi purpose battery (2x CR123A) or USB powered sensor that can monitor temperature, humidity, light level, and UV. A built in tamper sensor also alerts to any attempt to interfere with the sensor once it is installed.

With a 60x120 degree field of view and a detection distance up to 5 metres, Nero Multi is a versatile device that can be wall mounted, sat on a shelf, or discreetly recessed with the optional recessor mount.

Installation

Your Nero Multi comes packages with all the accessories you need to install it on a wall, shelf, or corner mount. If you want an even more discreet installation the recess mount is available separately for flush mounting in a ceiling or wall cavity.

When installing the sensor pay attention to the orientation of the detection area for optimal performance. The sensor detection area is 120º along the axis of the batteries and 60º across them. If you are mounting the sensor in a hallway ceiling for example the batteries should run parallel to the hallway walls for maximum detection range.

Powering your sensor

You can power the Nero Multi with either permanent USB power or disposable CR123A batteries. The sensor is only designed to operate from one power source, you can not have both connected simultaneously.

Using USB power

Plus the provided right angle Micro USB connector into the port on the back of the Nero Multi. Route the cable out the small notch and then lock the back panel back on to the unit.

Ensure that you are using a high quality USB power supply rated for 1A or greater.

Using battery power

Insert the batteries in the orientation indicated on the casing. If you are only using a single battery it must be installed in the primary battery slotted (marked 1 on the case).

Environexus recommended the use of high quality 3V batteries only, rechargeable 3.7V batteries should not be used with this device.
