You can check what version of the Nero OS your gateway is running from the interface easily. You can also force your gateway to check for any new firmware updates that we have issued.
Seem like your gateway isn't seeing the latest firmware? Please get in touch and we will be happy to help out!
See your current firmware
- Connect to your Nero gateway in the web browser via the local IP or the My Nero portal.
- Go to Settings and then select Firmware in the sidebar.
- The gateway will perform a check for new firmware if it is connected to the Internet and then show you the currently installed version.
Upload custom firmware
Always take a backup when updating the system firmware. The gateway will prompt you to take one, however, we recommend you manually take one before starting the process to ensure you also have the full mesh network backed up.
If an Environexus support agent has asked you to install a custom version of firmware or to manually force an update, simply come to this same page and paste the provided URL in the URL for custom NEXUS-NERO firmware field and then click Download.
This process can take up to 10 to 15 minutes depending on the speed of your Internet connection. DO NOT close the tab whilst this is happening! Once the file has downloaded the gateway will prompt you to upgrade to the new firmware.
Force apply the current firmware version
If you believe your gateway may have firmware issues, you can force apply the current firmware to it. Paste the URL below into the custom firmware field.
